Finding time to relax when facing adversity is many times easier said than done. It is difficult to try relaxation techniques when confronted with illness, difficult relationships, hardships, work, the loss of a loved one, or any other adverse events. This is part of Earth's natural processes among many other things. This is especially true when all this seems to happen in a week. In spite of all that, it is imperative to find solace and stability. We must summon up our strength to rediscover comfort and anchor ourselves in a niche that will provide rest. If circumstances have you feeling stranded, it is time to dig deep into your soul and gather all the resources you have left and move to higher ground.
There are many ways to assist, foster, and encourage ourselves. Needless to say we can try physical activity or talking to someone to help regain balance. In addition, identifying what triggers that challenge is also important. Our sense of calmness and over all well-being is what we aim for. It is essential to evaluate how the way we are coping with the situation is contributing to our health emotionally and physically. Many times it will be hard; however, a short pause can guide us to find a constructive perspective. Instead of overdoing it with comfort food or passing or taking our stress out on someone, I am trying the power of the scenic views of natures landscapes to lessen the effects of unpredictable and difficult life events.
Coupled with other techniques or by itself, contact with nature is taking a walk outdoors, having plants around, and even picturesque visuals in our computer provide comfort and nurture our well being. For whatever reason we tend to be more familiar with natures fierce displays than the more serene ones. It is time to take a moment to enjoy nature at its best and to recognize ways in which it provides means to achieve balance and stability. When trying to achieve this it may seem challenging. While hiking, biking, gardening, or even by the computer; looking at the landscape of nature can help to decrease stress. Combine a visit to a lake or even a pond at the part with your favorite tea and appreciate the sights and sounds around you. Cannot get outdoors? No problem, use your computer, TV, or phone to look at majestic views and of course a great cup of #hathatea by your side. This will transport your mind away from life's concerns into the restorative power and beauty of nature.
