Tea and yoga are like a match made in paradise. Recently I taught a restorative yoga class for a friend who has been feeling stressed lately. Our theme for the class focused on the breath, especially since our breathing dramatically changes when we are stressed out. Therefore, by learning how to breath efficiently we can all learn how to detox the stress. While my friend was laying down in a state of total relaxation and tranquility, I began to prepare her one of our special tea blends to help alleviate the stress. At the same time, the aromatherapy was giving off a luxurious scent of lavender, which we use in our Lavish Indulgence Blend.
By mixing together golden turmeric, aromatic chamomile, calming cardamom, and spicy cinnamon our signature Serenity Blend was created. Our friends are huge tea drinkers, but often they may feel the unwanted stresses that we all face at some point in our lives. As I began to end the yoga class my friend enjoyed sipping on the delicious and nutritious Serenity Blend. There was a noticeable reduction in stress and an increase in natural blissfulness. This is exactly what we want to spread to others. An expansion of relaxation is something many people want. For some, tea and yoga is a Blend of pure Serenity.
Chamomile has been used for many centuries and continues to be utilized in many tea blends. Its properties induce a feeling of relief which is great for individuals who may experience tension. Towards the end of the yoga class we began to wind things down in preparation for a peaceful rest. What better way to top things off than with some soothing chamomile? Additionally, cardamom is a spice native to India that has many health benefits. In addition, the turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory spice that gives the tea its beautiful golden hue. Meanwhile, the cinnamon provides a sense of sweetness and warmth. Together the ingredients within the Serenity Blend make for an exquisite tea and yoga all in one experience.
